(Courtes of Wikipeda)
Photo of a Sudanese girl dying of hunger and a vulture stalking her in the background.

This photgraph won Kevin Carter the Pulitzer award 1994. Later that year, he took his life by means of carbon monoxide poisoning.  In part Carter's suicide note read:

"I am depressed ... without phone ... money for rent ... money for child support ... money for debts ... money!!! ... I am haunted by the vivid memories of killings and corpses and anger and pain ... of starving or wounded children, of trigger-happy madmen, often police, of killer executioners ... I have gone to join Ken (recently deceased colleague) if I am that lucky."

A piece of my mind....on tattoos

I don't judge people who get them, but this to expose my stand on tattoos.
First of all, "think before you ink"!

The "art" of tattooing is not a modern practice, we all know that. It dates back to before Jesus. Tattooed mummies have been found in Egypt and South America. The tattooed images found were directly related to the worship of pagan gods.
The Mosaic law forbade God's people to tattoo themselves; Leviticus 19:28 says, "You must not make cuts in your flesh for a deceased soul, and you must not put tattoo marking upon yourselves. I am Jehovah." By complying with God's ban on tattoo markings, the Israelites would stand out as different from other nations.
OK, so we are no longer under the Mosaic law, but as a Christian I want to stand apart from others. Besides, the origins of tattooing is linked to paganism.2 Corinthians 6:17 says; “‘Therefore get out from among them, and separate yourselves,’ says Jehovah, ‘and quit touching the unclean thing’”; “‘and I will take YOU in.’”
Theses are my arguments, therefore I choose not to ink.

PETA: Get a life Kim

Peta denies having anything to do with the actions of the woman that flour bombed Kim Kardashian but they do support the woman. Kim is planning to press charges against the woman because she doesn't want her to get away with the assault. So in defense of the flour bomber, according to the TMZ website Peta stated the following;

"If she presses charges, at least people will be constantly reminded of her selfish, callous disregard for the cruel deaths that she causes by wearing fur."

"How much better it would be if she decided to evolve and enhance her image by donating her vulgar furs and exotic-animal skins to the homeless. The activist acted from the heart, something Kim doesn't seem to have."

"If anything Kim should get a life, the very thing that she denies animals"

William Levy, "the latin Brad Pitt"

Wow, guess who was on featured on yahoo news?! William Levy. He is participating in DWTS, a show I rarely ever watch. We Hispanics ladies, have already fallen in love with him and it looks like he's also capturing the heart of the American public.

In part this is what the article said;
William Levy has been getting hearts racing since his debut on Latin soap operas, but it was his debut this week on "Dancing With the Stars" that has him poised to become quite popular with U.S. viewers, too. Along with his partner Cheryl Burke, Levy scored an impressive 24 out of 30, cha-cha’ing his way into second place. However, “Team Fuego” didn’t just win over the judges with the dance that originated in his own country of Cuba; the audience could be heard screaming and applauding even before the performance started.
A wildly-loved romantic actor wildly loved by his Spanish-speaking fans, Levy has become better known as Jennifer Lopez's lover in her 2011 music video "I'm Into You." With the face of a Greek god and a body that doesn't stop, the "Brad Pitt of Mexico" is looking forward to competing for the mirror-ball trophy.

Jesus vs Pope

Ok, this day will not pass with writing this post. Pope Benedict the 19th (I believe, right?) He has landed in Mexico right about now. As you know I like to keep up to date on my news; I read online articles and check the readers comments. While of course Mexico is very honored to receive His Holiness, I have noticed so many negative comments from the Mexican people who are not too hyped about his visit.

Why so much negativity? It's not that he is being persecuted by his faith, on the contrary the preparations for his visit have already generated who knows how much cost, I want to say millions of American dollars. He is being received like a King by all his followers, the president of the republic and the candidates to the presidency. So no, persecution I don't think so!

Truth is the Catholic Church has been loosing members. The Roman Catholic Church now has 1.1 billion members compared to 1.5 billion Muslims and 593 million protestants. Sex scandals have accelerated the decline but there are many other reasons involved in this shrinkage.

I think that Babylon the Great's waters are drying up!

My very own Blog!

Hello amigos! Testing, testing, 1,2,3.

This is a blog dedicated to my opinions, I don't wanna want to keep inundating/spamming Facebook with everything that I find interesting and maybe you don't....well maybe just a little! I am an amateur at this and obviously not a writer. I wish I was grammatically correct but at least my spelling should be correct (thanks to spell check).

Annyhoo...like I stated this blog is dedicated to the thoughts inside my little head, I will write about things that interest me, news that I read etc, etc, etc.

That's all for now. Buh bye!
